Cookie Policy
Which cookies and local storage PresentFlow uses, why, and how to change your choice.
01What this covers
This policy explains how PresentFlow uses cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, on presentflow.org and in the PresentFlow apps. Please read it with our Privacy Policy.
Under Irish law (the ePrivacy Regulations, S.I. No. 336 of 2011) and the GDPR, we may store information on your device, or read it, only if it is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for, or if you have consented.
02Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site and app to work, and don't need consent:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
__Secure-authjs.session-token | Cookie (HttpOnly, Secure), PresentFlow | Keeps you signed in to the app. | 90 days, renewed while you use the app, never more than 180 days from sign-in |
__Host-authjs.csrf-token, __Secure-authjs.callback-url | Cookies (HttpOnly, Secure), PresentFlow | Protect sign-in against cross-site request forgery, and return you to the right page afterwards. | Session |
pf_shell | Cookie (HttpOnly), PresentFlow | Tells the site it is running inside the PresentFlow desktop app, so the operator view opens. | Session |
pf.cookie.consent.v1 | Local storage, PresentFlow | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics. | Until you clear site data |
__ph_opt_in_out_<key> | Local storage, PostHog | Records that you declined or withdrew analytics, so they stay off. | Until you clear site data |
03Preferences
These remember choices you have made. They are not used for tracking:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
pf.beta.v3 | Local storage, PresentFlow | Saves your answers on the early-access form so you can carry on later. It stays on your device until you submit. | Until you submit or clear site data |
ff_theme, ff_dark | Cookies, PresentFlow | Remember your light or dark display setting in the app. | Up to 1 year |
| App preferences and offline copy | Local storage, PresentFlow | Operator layout, recent settings, and an offline copy of your church's content so services can keep running without internet. | Until cleared |
04Analytics (only with your consent)
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
ph_<key>_posthog | Cookie, PostHog | Tells visits and sessions apart, so we can measure page views, clicks, and where people drop off on the early-access form. | Up to 1 year |
| PostHog local and session storage | Local and session storage, PostHog | Holds queued analytics events and session state. | Until cleared, or the end of the session |
With your consent, we may also record how pages are used (for example clicks and scrolling) to find confusing pages. Everything you type into forms is masked. Inside the signed-in app, all on-screen text and images are masked too. Recordings are kept for up to 30 days.
Inside the app, analytics are linked to your account's internal ID, your church's internal ID and your role, not to your name or email. On the early-access form, if you have accepted, we link your activity to the email address you enter. Sign-in, reset and invitation codes are removed from recorded web addresses. Analytics never run on output screens (projector, stage, livestream or preview).
PostHog processes analytics data in the United States. See "International transfers" in our Privacy Policy.
05Cookieless measurement and error monitoring
- Page speed and page views. Our hosting provider measures page load speed and counts page views in aggregate. This doesn't use cookies or identify you across sites.
- Error monitoring. If a page or the app crashes, technical details (such as browser, page and error message) are sent through our own domain to our error-monitoring provider in the EU, so we can fix the problem. It doesn't set cookies or record sessions.
We use these on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping PresentFlow fast and working (see our Privacy Policy).
06Booking a demo
If you open our demo booking calendar, it is provided by our scheduling provider, Calendly, which may set its own cookies needed to show the calendar and complete your booking. Calendly's cookie notice explains them.
07Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in our website footer, or the button below. If you withdraw consent, analytics stop straight away, and PostHog's cookies and storage on this device are deleted, except the small opt-out marker listed above. In the app, your choice applies to the browser profile you made it in.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but you'll be signed out, and saved form progress will be lost.
